ASALH and Farmers Insurance have teamed up for many projects, including the Freedom's Song Educational DVD - a free documentary available for middle and high school teachers to help students learn about ten significant, but often overlooked, events in Black history.

The Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) and Walmart have teamed up to launch a Loaned Executive Program (LEP) – a program designed for corporate partners to lend executives to assist the non-profit organization in key organizational and capital campaigns. The Association’s first LEP executive will be Walmart senior marketing executive Gwen Kelly. Kelly, an award-winning and recognized multicultural marketing advocate will provide expertise to the organization now through February 2012.

Kiamsha is a youth group based in Prince George's County, Maryland that has partnered with ASALH on numerous occasions. Kiamsha facilitates the annual Youth Day, which occurs during the yearly ASALH National convention.
